On October 16, the 6th China-CEE Local Leaders’ Meeting began, under the theme “China-CEE Local Cooperation for the Future,” held in the Yantai Huang-Bohai Sea New Area, Shandong Province.
The cooperation mechanism between China and the CEE countries, established in 2012, has developed into a cross-regional platform based on long-standing friendships, mutual collaboration, and shared development. Over more than a decade, it has promoted cooperation in fields such as trade, culture, education, tourism, and technology.
The October 2024 event brought together around 1000 Chinese and international guests, including former officials, diplomats, representatives of partner organizations, business delegates, experts, and scholars from Central and Eastern European countries. They shared experiences and achievements in advancing local exchange programs, offering forward-looking cooperation proposals and insightful perspectives.
Our company was represented by Nyikos Gábor (Managing Director), Faur Szilvia (Design Director), and Tamás Tünde (Director of Water Technology and Development).
The meeting included two main forums: the Local Green, Low-Carbon Cooperation Development Forum and the High-Level Academic Forum on Local Agricultural Cooperation, as well as two parallel forums focusing on industry-education integration and corporate cooperation.
In the field of water industry and water treatment, we had the opportunity to present and provide a general overview of the “best practices” we apply. Furthermore, we participated in discussions dedicated to water management, water supply, and regulations, jointly reflecting with Chinese experts on current and long-term sustainability challenges.
There were also photo exhibitions, product displays, traditional Chinese medicine presentations, and showcases of high-quality Yantai products.
